Music Wednesday: In B-flat project.

Instead of covering a band this week, I thought I'd cover a project..... it's nothing too major but it is really awesome and very well put together.

It's a webpage with 20 different YouTube videos, each with an individual playing an instrument or speaking in a B-flat key signature. When you go to the webpage, you can click on each video or any individual video and play them together and no matter what time you start videos or which ones you play, they will be in sync.

The project was designed by Darren Solomon as a collaborative music project for fun, but ended up gaining a lot of popularity.... mostly because, well.... it's impressive as hell. He thought of it because he had realized that you can play multiple YouTube videos at a time. So he decided to record his own instrument parts and sent out submission emails to further expand the project. He plays the instruments in videos 1,2,3,4, and 6 if looked at from left to right. The instruments he played are, the glass marimba, electric guitar, Kaoss Pad/synth, Rhodes electric piano, and the electric bass

The project has people from all over the world who simply play in the key of B-flat. It includes some guitar, bass, violin, trumpet, various synth instruments, and more.

When I stumbled across the project, I was blown away. The amount of passion that each individual puts into their video is peaceful. It's quite fun to play around with and there's something about it that feels inspirational.

Definitely have a go at it.... here is the link --> In B-flat.
